Starbucks Dad Hack

I drove Reed around for a half hour the other day while trying to get him to fall asleep. The entire time he was screaming “I want coffee!!! My coffee! Coffeeeeee mommmyyyyy!!!!” We had gone through the Starbucks drive-through to get John a drink, but I didn’t get Reed anything, assuming he was going to fall asleep. Never making that mistake again.

Although Reed has no concept of what coffee actually is, he sure does love his special milk drink that he gets at "Bucks". After many spills and tears, John thought of the ultimate Dad hack:

venti cup + milk box + flat lid + grande straw

So many parents have stopped to tell us how genius it is and that they’re going to start doing it. No more squeezing the box and having milk squirt out the top all over the car! He can tip it pretty far over and, at worst, only a few drops drip out of the box into the cup.
